April 2022: The MDL Paraquat class action judge will have a status conference on April 1st to review where the litigation is headed and how best to take the bellwether lawsuits forward for trial in November 2022. 44 new paraquat lawsuits have been added to the MDL in the last two weeks. At this pace, April 2022 will be the busiest month for new files yet. Last week, the parties filed their class-action bellwether picks with the Paraquat MDL judge. Those choices, however, have not been made public.
May 2022: In the last month, over 50 new cases have been added to the Paraquat Lawsuit Multidistrict Litigation (MDL). A group of six patients was recently selected by the Paraquat MDL court for the initial Paraquat Parkinson's disease bellwether trials. As a result, the first trial in November 2022 is approaching soon. The strategy is to select 16 paraquat claims from among the almost 1000 Parkinson's disease litigation claims filed. Following some limited fact discovery in these instances, paraquat attorneys on both sides submitted a preference list to the MDL court, ranking the 16 cases in order of priority. Attorneys for plaintiffs seek the finest facts for their clients, while defense attorneys want the worst. The judge whittled the list down to six Paraquat claims based on these rankings.

From the first call, we keep things simple and survivor-centered. We listen to your story, explain your options in plain language, and map out next steps. We can help secure ride records, preserve phone and app data, and coordinate with law enforcement where appropriate. We work with trauma-informed professionals and, if you choose to move forward, we handle the legal process so you can focus on healing. There are no upfront costs, and you owe nothing unless we win.
Your intake is private and judgment-free. We’ll ask basic questions about when and where the assault happened, whether it was during or shortly after a rideshare trip, and what proof you may have—such as trip receipts or in-app messages, and police reports. We’ll also discuss the impact on your health, work, and daily life so we can pursue the full compensation you may be entitled to.
If you or someone you love was sexually assaulted during or shortly after an Uber or Lyft ride, you are not alone—and you have options. Our team helps survivors pursue civil claims to hold companies accountable, cover medical and counseling costs, and seek compensation for pain, suffering, and other losses. Case evaluations are confidential and free, and many firms work on contingency, meaning you pay nothing unless there is a recovery.
We represent riders who experienced rape, unwanted sexual touching, indecent exposure, attempted assault, kidnapping, or physical detainment connected to a rideshare trip. We move quickly to secure rideshare records, app metadata, driver history, witness information, and law-enforcement reports; coordinate trauma-informed medical and therapeutic documentation; and pursue claims against all responsible parties.

You Are Not Alone
Rideshare companies promised safe, convenient transportation. Yet their own safety reports show thousands of sexual assaults reported in recent years. Uber disclosed nearly six thousand reports in 2017–2018, and Lyft reported more than four thousand in 2017–2019. Those figures include both riders and drivers and likely undercount the true scope because many incidents go unreported. If this happened to you, speaking up can protect your rights and help improve safety for others.
Compensation for Survivors
Survivors across the country have filed lawsuits against Uber and Lyft, alleging the companies failed to screen, train, or monitor drivers and to respond properly when warnings appeared. Thousands of claims against Uber have now been grouped together in federal court so survivors can move more efficiently toward trials and potential settlements. While many outcomes are confidential, public records show that individual survivor cases have already resulted in significant payouts—some in the millions of dollars. One publicly reported example involved a trafficking survivor and resulted in a $9 million settlement that included Lyft among the defendants. Your experience and damages are unique, and we’ll evaluate your options based on your specific facts and state law.
